The red set of bells was built in 2013, installed in Beaconsfield Primary School they make up part of the musical garden. They are designed to be used in outdoor concerts and played in conjunction with the school band. For this reason the bells are chromatically tuned, including every note from C2 to C7. The bells are anodised aluminium and the frame is cypress.
The blue set is installed in Beaconfield Upper Primary School. They consist of 4 pentatonic octaves, this allows even a novice player to produce a pleasant sound. The frame is equipped with 6 beaters which can be stowed and easily replaced. The bells are aluminium and the frame is cypress and treated pine.
